Description of types of sessions

Below are descriptions of the various sessions that will be held at The Union World Conference on Lung Health. All sessions are to be approved by the Coordinating Committee on Scientific Activities (CCSA). In order to preserve the quality of conference programme and manage the very large number of submissions, the Committee uses a combination of these general criteria in its selection process.

The session should:

  • Relate to the conference theme
  • Be innovative and not repeated from previous years
  • Include a diverse panel of speakers, coordinators, and chairs, avoiding repeated representation of persons who have submitted sessions or spoken previously
  • Be well developed with clear objectives, e.g., it is not a case presentation or one anecdotal experience

Should a session be approved, the CCSA reserves the right to suggest revisions or combine related sessions.
