The idea of raising money for TB treatment with colourful Christmas seals originated with a Danish postman named Einar Holboell in 1904. The tradition was quickly adopted by other countries and continues today.
The Union holds an annual Christmas Seals Exhibit and Contest during the World Conference in recognition of this colourful tradition. Constituent and organisational members are invited to submit their Christmas Seals for exhibit.
