Online Abstract submission now Closed - Over 1200 Abstracts submitted!

The Union has now closed the Call for Online Submission of Abstracts for presentation at the 43rd Union World Conference on Lung Health to be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from 13-17 November 2012.

A panel of international experts will review the 1,251 abstracts submitted for the 2012 World Conference, and the Scientific Programme Committee will  allocate accepted abstracts to an oral or poster session. All authors will be notified of the acceptance of their abstracts before the end of June 2012. Selected abstracts will be included in the Abstract Book of the conference as a supplement to the International Journal of Tuberculosis and Lung Disease (IJTLD).

This year The Union offered an Abstract Mentor Programme to encourage the participation of young and/or less experienced investigators from low-resource settings. The Abstract Mentor Programme was designed for those who intended to submit an abstract for presentation and who lacked access to opportunities for mentoring in research and writing. Using this programme, authors were able to ask for feedback from experienced researchers before proceeding with the online submission of their papers. The Abstract Mentor Programme is now closed.

The deadline for submission was Wednesday, 25 April 2012.
