Format of the Conference

The 43rd Union World Conference is a five day live event with the following format:

DAY 1

Tuesday, 13 November 2012: Stop TB Symposium, organised by the World Health Organization (WHO).

Meeting open to all delegates; no badge is required to access the meeting room.

DAY 2

Wednesday, 14 November 2012: post-graduate courses and workshops followed by the Inaugural Lecture and Welcome Cocktail.

Sessions taking place on the first 2 days are pre-conference activities not pertaining to the core programme of the conference.

  • Workshops: delegates are not subject to a registration fee but are required to choose the session they will be attending. They will receive a pass to access the meeting room for their workshop.
  • Post-graduate courses: delegates are required to register and a fee of 100 € will apply. They will receive a pass to access the meeting room for their course.

DAY 3 to DAY 5

From Thursday, 15 November through Saturday, 17 November 2012: Symposia, oral abstract presentation sessions, poster discussion sessions, plenary sessions and 'meet the expert' sessions, scientific section, region and business meetings.

Wearing badges will be compulsory to attend the sessions taking place on these 3 days of the conference. Delegates without badges will be denied access to the venue. Sessions offered are part of the core programme.

Technical Exhibition

A scientific and technical exhibition of pharmaceutical companies, manufacturers of materials and equipment and NGOs will be held during the conference.
