Access by Air

Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) is only 28 minutes from Kuala Lumpur city. It is located 75 kilometres (35 miles) south of Kuala Lumpur City Centre (KLCC); an hour's drive by direct motorway link or 28 minutes on the KLIA Ekspres Rail Link (ERL).

Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA)

Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) is one of Asia's major aviation hubs and is a destination in itself. It is located at the top  of the southern corridor of Peninsular Malaysia, bordering the states of Selangor and Negeri Sembilan. TRAINS - EXPRESS RAIL LINK (ERL)

The Express Rail Link (ERL) operates both the KLIA ekspres and the KLIA TRansit Line trains.

 

  • KLIA Ekspres

KLIA Ekspres is an express train that exlusively serves the non-stop route between KLIA and KL Sentral, the main downtown rail station in Kuala Lumpur.  The journey takes 28 minutes each way, and is the fastest way to travel to the city centre.  The train is equipped with comfortable seats, digital entertainment, luggage racks, wheelchair access, wheel chair seat restraints and wheelchair friendly washrooms.

Return RM 70.00 RM 30.00 (2 - 12 years old)

 

Service Schedule:

First Train:           05:00

Last Train:           00:30 (from KL Sentral)

                             01:00  (from KLIA)

Frequency:          Every 15 minutes during peak hours  (06:00  - 09:00  and 16:00 - 22:00)

                             Every 20 minutes during off-peak hours (05:00 - 06:00 and 09:00 - 16:00 and 10:00 - 00:00)

                             Every 30 minutes after midnight

 

  • KLIA Transit

The KLIA Transit is a commuter service with stops at three intermediate stations before arriving at KL Sentral:

  1. Bandar Tasik Selatan
  2. Putrajaya and Cyberjaya
  3. Salak Tinggi

The train departs every 30 minutes, with a journey time of 35 minutes from KLIA to KL Sentral.

AIRPORT TAXIS

Airport Limo (M° Sdn Bhd offers taxi and Limo services, 24 hours a day. The journey time to Kuala Lumpur City Centre is approximately 55 minutes and tickets are purchased at official counters situated in the Arrival Hall in the Main Terminal Building:

  1. International Arrival Hall (just after Customs, before the public arrival area)
  2. Domestic Arrival Hall (public area after Domestic Baggage Clearance)
  3. Domestic Baggage Reclaim, Arrival Level

KL City Air Terminal (KLCAT)

Located within KL Sentral in downtown Kuala Lumpur is a modern air terminal with check-in facility.  Check-in is three (3) hours ahead of departure and luggage will be transferred to the flight.  Transfer to the airport is by KLIA Ekspres located at the level immediately below in KL Sentral.

LIGHT RAIL TRANSIT (LRT)

Light Rail Transit lines operate two lines - The Kelana Jaya Line and the Ampang Line.

The Kelana Jaya Line serves the route between KL Sentral and the KLCC Precinct.  The Ampang line runs from Ampang/Sri Petaling to Sentul Timur.

 

KL MONORAIL

The KL Monorail is an intracity public transit system that links many key destinations within Kuala Lumpur. It passes major hotels in the city and serves its central commercial, employment and shopping district. The 8.6km long KL Monorail system runs across 11 stations that stretches from KL Sentral in Brickfields through the central business district of Kuala Lumpur, ending at Titiwangsa Station in Jalan Tun Razak.

 

RAPID KL BUSES

RapidKL Buses service 6 key areas of the Klang Valley with a total of 165 routes.  It provides5 types of bus services to the commuter, namely the Tempatan service that carries passengers from the residential areas to the main routes.
